Kevin Costner‘s ex-wife is not hiding her happiness or her massive new bling!

Christine Baumgartner has been spotted proudly showing off a $50,000 engagement ring as she embraces her fresh start. Baumgartner’s glow comes as she reportedly finds love again with financier Josh Connor, who also happens to be a friend of Costner. 

Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner settled their divorce in September last year after nearly two decades of marriage.  

The 51-year-old reportedly got engaged to the financier on January 26, during a date in Santa Barbara. Two months later, she is proudly showing off her stunning ring, and it is nothing short of eye-catching.

Experts say Baumgartner’s engagement ring is an absolute showstopper. A Los Angeles-based jeweler described the massive sparkler as a “five-carat square-cut diamond set in platinum,” adding, “Assuming it’s not a lab-grown diamond, I would estimate it to be worth about fifty thousand dollars.”

Daily Mail notes that the ring is of such high quality that it visibly refracts light from 50 feet away, as seen in recent photos. In one of the exclusive images, Baumgartner was spotted on March 5, casually adjusting her cap while out with her daughter Grace, offering a glimpse of her impressive rock.

That was not the only time the ring made a statement. Baumgartner was also seen laughing with a friend as they left the luxury boutique K. Frank. As she rested her left hand over her black handbag, the sparkling diamond quickly stole the spotlight.

In contrast, while his ex is happy getting engaged, Costner is making the most of his single status, stepping out at high-profile events. The 70-year-old recently shared a glimpse of his action-packed month on Instagram, proving he is wasting no time embracing this new chapter.

Costner’s post started with moments from the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he mingled with Quentin Tarantino and promoted his upcoming film, “Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2.” 

The event was a family affair, as he brought the three children he shares with Baumgartner. However, the festivities did not stop there. Costner also appeared at some of the year’s biggest events, including Super Bowl LVIII in New Orleans, where he enjoyed the game alongside Pete Davidson. 

While Costner is living it up on the red carpet and at high-profile events, life after divorce has reportedly been a different story for his ex-wife, especially when it comes to finances.

During their contentious divorce battle, a judge ruled in 2023 that Costner would pay $63,209 per month in child support, a steep drop from the $248,000 per month that Baumgartner initially requested. The decision has forced significant lifestyle changes, including multiple moves to smaller homes.

Other signs of financial strain have surfaced. While all three of the former couple’s children attended exclusive private schools during their nearly 20-year marriage, two are now reportedly enrolled in Santa Barbara public schools.

Additionally, Baumgartner has supposedly been seen driving a two-year-old Range Rover with expired license plate tags and noticeably worn tires.

Despite the challenges Baumgartner might have faced with the divorce, things appear to be looking up, especially with her recent engagement to Connor.

The Blast reports that Baumgartner and Connor, who finalized his own divorce in January 2023, have been frequently spotted together. They have reportedly visited each other’s homes in Montecito, just minutes apart, and even jetted off on luxurious getaways. According to sources:

“They spent time before Christmas together in Hawaii while Kevin was presumably in Aspen with the kids. They also made a trip to New York together. She hasn’t been doing much to hide what’s going on from her friends.”

Insiders also reveal that their romance has been quietly developing for quite some time, with a shared connection through their daughters’ close friendship.

Baumgartner’s new relationship with Connor is no longer a secret, but previous statements suggest their connection may have started much earlier than she previously claimed.

During an evidentiary hearing in Santa Barbara, Baumgartner testified under oath that there was no romantic involvement between her and Connor at the time. However, eyewitness accounts from a July vacation tell a different story.

Observers recalled seeing Baumgartner and Connor displaying a noticeable closeness during the trip. Photos captured the pair sharing laughs and engaging in what seemed like intimate conversations. One insider revealed:

“They started off across the table from each other, and she was laughing a lot at whatever he was saying. She was showing him photos from her phone, and he moved to the seat next to her so they were both facing the water.”

Adding to the speculation, the insider noted that Baumgartner’s suite was next to Connor’s and that the two left together.
